David I. Driver, M.D. is the Founder and Principal of The Cambium Group. The Cambium Group offers a variety of services designed to address the difficulties associated with organizational management, allowing our clients to concentrate on the provision of high-quality mental health programming and services.
Dr. David I. Driver boasts a distinguished career spanning military service, program development, direct patient care, and leadership in the mental health community in the academic, government, and private sectors.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Dr. Driver joined the United States Army where he received formal leadership training, managed medical facilities, and taught and developed educational curriculum for the U.S. Army Medical Command. Throughout his service in the U.S. Army, Dr. Driver pursued his education, eventually leaving the service completely to complete his medical training.
His commitment to excellence in psychiatric care led him to complete his adult psychiatric training at Georgetown University Hospital, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at Children’s National Medical Center and a research fellowship at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). In additional awards and decorations in research and leadership, Dr. Driver holds board certifications in both Adult and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
Presently, Dr. Driver serves as the Director of Healthy Foundations Group and The Heartwood Program; outpatient behavioral health practices spanning 5 states. He also maintains consulting contracts with professional sports organizations, private mental health facilities, universities and government organizations. In addition, he is a member of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5-TR) Steering Committe, and serves as teaching faculty at Drexel University, The George Washington University and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
Dr. Driver’s contributions to the field exemplify his commitment to advancing the provision of psychiatric care and mental well-being on both local and national levels.​​
